Manholes are considered confined spaces and are susceptible to severe chemical attack in the water, waste water and petrochemical industries, as well as years of neglect. Manhole infiltration can be sealed regardless of the volume or pressure. If untreated, it has the likelihood of subsidence, increase demand on final effluent treatment and create voids around the manhole, which may lead to localised collapse. With the use of water stopping resin injection, all voids can be filled and leaks stopped.
