Scope of works

AQL carried out a restoration and protection measures, including: Surface Preparation: Loose, delaminated was removed using diamond grinding. This was followed by high pressure washing to clean the roof area. Primer- A bonding primer was then applied to the roof to allow for an optimal host surface. Waterproof Membrane- A self-adhesive waterproofing membrane was then installed on the roof to protect the concrete and seal the roof of the tank. The membrane was overlapped and install to the manufacturers guidelines to ensure no future leaks. Edge Detail- The edge of the roof, around manholes and vents were then sealed up with a specific edge detail. Protection- Sheet drainage was then installed over the entire roof to protect the membrane while still allowing water to drain off the roof. Decorative Stone- 12 tonnes of decorative stone was then placed on the roof for an astheically pleasing finish, while also weighing down the sheet drainage.
