client objectives

Ensure the longevity and structural integrity of the tanks. Conduct essential concrete repairs to prevent further deterioration. Scope of works

Surface Preparation Works – All internal surfaces were subjected to a high-pressure clean-down to remove contaminants, debris, and surface deterioration. Concrete Repairs- Soft, damaged and heavily eroded concrete was removed and/or repaired to return optimal cover to the rebar and allow for structural integrity. Joint Sealing- All joint sealer within the tank were removed, joints were cleaned and new joint sealer was installed that is resistant to the chemicals and gases present. Surface Protective Coatings- All concrete elements received build up layers of cementitious coatings to return optimal cover to rebar. The top metre of the walls and the launder channel were then coated in a chemical resistant system as this is where the gases and erosion would take place.
